Interview

Heritage families (families with children currently enrolled in CNG) will have their family interviews between January 17th and January 23rd, 2019.

New families will have their family interviews between February 26th, 27th, 28th, and March 1st through 11th, 2019.

You will receive an invitation from the admissions office to sign-up for your family’s interview. Both parents should be present. Children should not come to the interview.

Prospective Candidate Observation

We will be holding k4 and k5 candidate observations on February 1st, 2nd, 8th, and 9th 2019 (each candidate will come on one of the 4 days.) ALL DATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE

The observation consists of a one-on-one work session with a counselor or a K4 teacher. Applicants and their families can expect to be at school for approximately one hour. Here are some tips that should make this experience as comfortable as possible for all of you.

  1. Parents are responsible for bringing the children to CNG. Preschools will not be bringing them.

  2. Plan around your child’s appointment at CNG. Avoid having too much to do and having to run.

  3. Let your child know he/she will be coming to CNG to work for a while (the kind of work done at preschool). Tell him/her you will wait for him/her, be close by waiting, and will all leave together when he/she is done.

  4. Remember the traffic in Bogotá can be heavy and that if you are coming from the north, you must go to 63 or 53 to take circunvalar northbound in order to access the parking lot.

  5. Plan ahead – give your child a snack or have an early lunch if you feel he/she might be hungry at the time of the appointment. Not too much – you don’t want a sleepy child.

  6. We assume your child is at a Bogotá preschool and most comfortable being tested in Spanish. If the child should be given the option of English, let us know.

  7. Once you arrive, when your child is called away, let him/her leave naturally (Don’t call him back for a last kiss – this shows your anxiety).

Admissions Notification

Families will be notified of the Admissions decision on April 3rd, 2019.  Confirmation deadline is April 5th, 2019 at noon. Parents must send a written response informing CNG if their child will enroll in K4/K5 for the 2019-20 school year.
