Technology & Innovation

CNG remains committed to helping advance teaching and learning by providing our students and staff with technology resources to enhance their teaching and learning experience.

Conversations towards the pursuit of excellence for our students often involve applying technology and innovation design among our students, teachers, administrators, board members, and CNG alumni; and we are grateful for the collaborative effort from our community to shape our future technology and innovation plans.

Technology at CNG

Our focus is to personalize learning for each student, and technology serves as the primary tool to provide that personalized experience since so many learning applications, assessment techniques, and innovative designs exist in today’s educational arena.

Students use a variety of specialized technology equipment in creative ways to demonstrate their learning. In addition, student teams use technology inside and outside the classroom as they engage in project-based learning.

The thoughtful and intentional use of technology can provide for differentiation of lesson content and allow each child to fully understand and take charge of their own learning in a way that promotes excellence at CNG. Building and nurturing our students’ digital citizenship along the way is a priority for us.

Innovative Learning Programs

Many schools identify themselves by the technology they use; however, at CNG, we identify our school system through the innovative learning programs that we create.

We understand and respond to the need of providing learning experiences that teach collaboration, critical thinking, communication, and creativity. We use a variety of technology to meet our students’ learning goals; meeting the unique learning styles of every child is what makes personalized instruction a powerful tool in education.

Students learning innovatively

Walking through our campus, you will notice how teachers collaborate together through the innovative Design Thinking process and use the latest technology applications to deliver engaging lessons, capture student interest, and assess student learning in a variety of ways. Preparing for the jobs and careers of tomorrow requires our CNG learning community to stay active with developing 21st-Century skills today.

The attributes of a successful CNG graduate, one who is prepared for college and able to thrive as a global citizen, drive our decision-making on how best to empower learners to innovatively solve problems, even problems that do not yet exist.

We are particularly proud of our new Innovative MakerSpaces across the campus, and the increased use by students and staff of these Design Thinking spaces highlights CNG’s dedication and commitment to students and teachers, integrating this thinking process into their learning programs and projects
