Elementary School Library and Media Centers
Our Elementary School Library is here to serve Elementary students in grades 3-5, parents, and the larger school community.
Our library proudly offers a large collection of over 17,000 books (print and ebooks) in both Spanish and English. We also have digital access to databases for research and information gathering as well as online English and Spanish books for enjoyment. In addition, the library provides access to SORA/Overdrive (our online platform for ebooks and audiobooks) and Make-Make, a digital book platform solely in Spanish.
Each 6 day cycle, ES students come to the library for a 50-minute class, where we promote the love of reading for enjoyment and help develop 21st century skills such as problem-solving and critical thinking. Students are encouraged to check out up to four books simultaneously. We are also open for morning recess daily so students can check out books as needed and have a safe, quiet space to read and use the creative space.
