Honorable Delegates, Sponsors and other guests;

Welcome to MUNCNG 2011-2012. Model United Nations is an activity where millions of students from different schools worldwide converge to work together and understand global issues such as poverty, famine and war. Members of MUN in Colombia understand many of these struggles since we are a country who also suffers from the consequences of poverty and violence. The state of our nation has fuelled our youth to be interested in world affairs and we are driven to find solutions through education, research and diplomatic debating. During MUNCNG’s 30 years of experience, our model has enabled students from all over Colombia to work towards becoming the leaders of tomorrow.

		As Secretary General, democratically chosen, of this conference, I feel honored to follow the tradition of academic excellence that this model represents. MUNCNG will welcome delegates from all around Colombia to participate in this model which will be taking place from February 1st to 4rd. Once again, welcome to MUNCNG and I hope that these 4 days will be an unforgettable experience for all who attend.
